Johann Reuchlin (German: [ˈjoːhan ˈʁɔʏçlɪn]; 29 January 1455 – 30 June 1522), sometimes called Johannes, was a German Catholic humanist and a scholar of Greek and Hebrew, whose work also took him to modern-day Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and France.
Reuchlin fu un umanista tedesco del XV-XVI secolo, influenzato dalla cabala e dalla tradizione ebraica. Scrisse opere di greco, ebraico, diritto, teologia, filosofia e poesia, e si oppose alla distruzione dei libri ebraici.

Umanista, nato il 24 febbraio 1455 a Pforzheim, morto a Bad Liebenzell il 30 giugno 1522. Studiò a Friburgo in Brisgovia, poi seguì un figlio del margravio di Baden a Parigi, ove continuò gli studî letterarî, incominciando quello del greco. In seguito studiò a Basilea, ove divenne baccelliere nel 1475 e maestro nel 1477.
