Nigel John Biggar CBE (born 14 March 1955) is a British Anglican priest, theologian, and ethicist. From 2007 to 2022, he was the Regius Professor of Moral and Pastoral Theology at the University of Oxford.

Nigel Biggar CBE is Emeritus Regius Professor of Moral Theology at the University of Oxford and Distinguished Scholar in Residence at Pusey House, Oxford. He holds a B.A. in Modern History from Oxford and a Ph.D. in Christian Theology & Ethics from the University of Chicago.
For over a decade, Nigel Biggar (Regius Professor of Moral and Pastoral Theology and Director of the Director of the McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics, and Public Life) has been researching the Christian ‘just war’ tradition, and the ethics of warfare amidst the political and technological changes of the contemporary world.
