Sarolt (n. 950 d.Hr. – d. 1008) a fost soția lui Géza, Marele Principe al maghiarilor și mama Sfântului Ștefan, regele Ungariei. Sarolt a fost fiica lui Gyula (cel Bătrân) al Transilvaniei și a fost, probabil, educată în credința ortodoxă.

Géza (n. ca 940-945 - d. 1 febr. 997) a fost între 970-997 conducătorul maghiarilor, tatăl primului rege al Ungariei, Ștefan I. În 965 a lut parte împreună cu țarul bulgar Petru la un raid războinic împotriva Bizanțului. În anii următori a mai luptat contra Bizanțului și alături de principele Kievului, Sviatoslav I.
