Lebrecht continuò a svolgere il suo compito di reggente su Köthen sino al 1659, anno in cui Guglielmo Luigi venne dichiarato adulto e quindi abile a governare. Lebrecht fece ritorno a Plötzkau, riprendendo a pieno titolo il proprio ruolo di co-reggente col fratello Emmanuele.
Biografia. Figlio del Principe Augusto di Anhalt-Köthen e di sua moglie, Sibilla di Solms-Laubach, succedette al nipote Guglielmo Luigi di Anhalt-Köthen, assieme al proprio fratello Lebrecht, sul trono di Anhalt-Köthen alla morte di quegli, nel 1665 .
Emmanuel Lebrecht of Anhalt-Köthen (Köthen, 20 May 1671 – Köthen, 30 May 1704), was a German prince of the House of Ascania and ruler of the principality of Anhalt-Köthen. He was the only child of Emmanuel, Prince of Anhalt-Köthen, by his wife Anna Eleonore, daughter of Henry Ernest, Count of Stolberg. Life
On 20 May 1671, six months after the death of her husband, the Dowager Princess Anna Eleonore gave birth to a son, named Emmanuel Lebrecht, who immediately became the new ruler of Anhalt-Köthen under the regency of his mother.
Lebrecht of Anhalt-Köthen (Plötzkau, 8 April 1622 – Köthen, 7 November 1669), was a German prince of the House of Ascania and ruler of the principality of Anhalt-Plötzkau. From 1665, he was ruler of the principality of Anhalt-Köthen .
