Jean-Jacques Hublin (born 30 November 1953) is a French paleoanthropologist. He is a professor at the Max Planck Society, Leiden University and the University of Leipzig and the founder and director of the Department of Human Evolution at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany.

Jean-Jacques Hublin, né le 30 novembre 1953 à Mostaganem, en Algérie, est un paléoanthropologue français. Depuis 2004, il est directeur du département Évolution de l'homme de l' Institut Max-Planck d'anthropologie évolutionniste, à Leipzig, en Allemagne, où il dirige une équipe d'une quinzaine de chercheurs.
Les enseignements de la chaire Paléoanthropologie, créée en 2021, font suite à ceux proposés par Jean-Jacques Hublin, depuis 2014, dans le cadre d’une chaire invitée, puis d’une chaire internationale du Collège de France.
Jean-Jacques Hublin holds the chair of paleoanthropology at the Collège de France, where he also leads the research team Paleonthropology of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biology.
