Norman Lovett shot to fame after appearing in 'Red Dwarf' as the the ship's incompetent computer Holly. In 1989, he devised a sitcom pilot for the 'Comic Asides' strand entitled 'I, Lovett' in which he cast himself as an eccentric inventor who seemed to live in a world of his own making.
