La seconda stagione della serie televisiva Le grandi fiabe è stata trasmessa da NBC dal 18 settembre 1960 al 16 luglio 1961. A differenza della precedente stagione venne girata interamente a colori e per l'occasione il titolo originale della serie fu cambiato in The Shirley Temple Show .
Nove anni dopo il suo ritiro, nel 1958, la Temple tornò alla ribalta in una serie televisiva per bambini intitolata Shirley Temple's Storybook (in italiano Le grandi fiabe), che durò fino al 1961 ed ebbe un discreto successo, dopodiché Shirley abbandonò definitivamente l'attività di attrice.
