Real Prison Breaks is a British television series currently shown on ITV4 which documents prison escapes from around the world. In each episode three prison escapes are documented and reconstructed, usually one from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia or Ireland.
On March 16 2001, two convicted killers mail themselves to freedom. William Davis and Douglas Gray, both serving life sentences in a Springtown, Oklahoma prison, use their privileged jobs making road signs in the workshop to plan an ingenious escape.
In the US a murderous gang of 7 bust out of a Texas prison leaving chaos in their wake, in Britain IRA terrorists are re-captured after just minutes on the run and in Australia an inmate loses half his body weight and slips through his cell bar window to freedom.
