Accommodation. Clare Hall sits in tranquil surroundings on Herschel Road, a leafy residential road to the west of Cambridge. The College is only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre and has its own indoor swimming pool, gym, dining hall and bar.
One of only two wholly postgraduate colleges in Cambridge, Clare Hall is also the smallest, with total student numbers around 200. This makes it an ideal community in which to quickly feel at home and where social and intellectual mixing can take place in an informal and friendly setting.
Clare Hall is a college for advanced study at the University of Cambridge. We have beautiful grounds and gardens to explore. A British architect and long-time resident of Sweden, Ralph Erskine, was enlisted to build a resolutely modern community within Cambridge’s history-rich landscape.
