Lin Yutang [1] (林語堂 P; Banzai, 10 ottobre 1895 – Hong Kong, 26 marzo 1976) è stato uno scrittore, traduttore e saggista cinese, le cui originali creazioni e traduzioni sono diventate popolarissime in Occidente . Fu candidato due volte al Nobel per la letteratura, nel 1940 e nel 1950 [2] .
Lin Yutang (Chinese: 林語堂; October 10, 1895 – March 26, 1976) was a Chinese inventor, linguist, novelist, philosopher, and translator. He had an informal style in both Chinese and English, and he made compilations and translations of classic Chinese texts into English.
Lin Yutang (born October 10, 1895, Longxi, Fujian province, China—died March 26, 1976, Hong Kong) was a prolific writer of a wide variety of works in Chinese and English; in the 1930s he founded several Chinese magazines specializing in social satire and Western-style journalism.
