Heinrich Gotthard Freiherr von Treitschke (German: [ˈhaɪ̯n.ʁɪç fɔn ˈtʁaɪ̯.t͡ʃkə]; 15 September 1834 – 28 April 1896) was a German historian, political writer and National Liberal member of the Reichstag during the time of the German Empire.
Heinrich Gotthard von Treitschke (* 15. September 1834 in Dresden; † 28. April 1896 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Historiker, politischer Publizist und Mitglied des Reichstags von 1871 bis 1884, zunächst als nationalliberaler Abgeordneter, ab 1878 ohne Parteizugehörigkeit.
Storico tedesco, nato a Dresda il 15 settembre 1834, morto a Berlino il 28 aprile 1896. Di famiglia protestante, crebbe in un ambiente militare. Studente a Bonn e quindi a Lipsia, nel 1854 si laureò a Friburgo in economia politica.
Storico (Dresda 1834 - Berlino 1896). Di orientamento liberal-nazionale, vide nella Prussia l'elemento determinante dell'auspicata unificazione tedesca. La sua ideologia politica antidemocratica trova compimento espressivo in Deutsche Geschichte im 19. Jahrhundert (5 voll., 1879-94).
