John Verity (born 3 July 1949) is an English guitarist and singer. Best known for as a member of Argent, a band formed by Zombies keyboardist Rod Argent. He joined the band alongside John Grimaldi, replacing Russ Ballard .

JV Biography. John Verity began his music career in the early 1960's, playing guitar in various local groups around his home town of Bradford, Yorkshire, until he was offered a full time gig with a pro band the ‘Richard Kent Style’.
Charles Verity (27 August 1814 – 4 December 1899) was an English stone mason, building contractor and mayor of Doncaster.He began his career as an itinerant railway ganger but, after his ability was noticed by railway engineer Charles Bartholomew, he received engineering and building contracts which started him on the road to a successful career as a building contractor.
