13 mag 2024 · The Four Seasons, American rock-and-roll group that was among the best-selling recording artists of the early and mid-1960s. Buoyed by lead singer Frankie Valli’s soaring falsetto, the band had a string of more than 25 hits over a five-year period, beginning with ‘Sherry’ in 1962.
Music career. Valli began his singing career in the early 1950s with the Variety Trio (Nickie DeVito, Tommy DeVito, and Henry "Hank" Majewski), and was mentored in much of his early career by Nick Macioci, who would later join Valli in The Four Seasons, and by "Texas" Jean Valli, a female hillbilly singer, from whom he adopted the "Valli" surname.
