1 ago 2012 · We have a strict no-smoking policy and local smoking laws that all our employees are familiar with. Can we skip the signage? Does this prerequisite apply to e-cigarettes?
Smoking must also be prohibited outside the building except in designated smoking areas located at least 25 feet (7.5 meters) (or the maximum extent allowable by local codes) from all entries, outdoor air intakes, and operable windows. Communicate the no-smoking policy to occupants.

15 mar 2023 · For projects where smoking is prohibited, documentation should include a description of the project’s no-smoking policy, a copy of the no-smoking policy, and a signed letter from the owner describing the project’s no-smoking policy and enforcement.
27 lug 2012 · In the current version 3, 2009, all LEED rating systems require the owner to sign a statement that, “Smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of entries, outdoor air intakes and operable windows.” Project teams must also submit photographic signage that explicitly states the 25 foot limit.
This form can be used to request No Smoking/No Vaping signage for your business or organization. Retailers of tobacco and vapour products can also use this form to request vendor signs. Please review pictures of the signs that are currently available, indicate how many of each type you will need and submit your form.
