You probably have heard of the Woodstock Festival before, the iconic music festival held in 1969. But it actually didn’t take place in Woodstock. The festival got its name from this town but held the actual event in Bethel NY, just an hour’s drive south of Woodstock NY.
Woodstock NY is the perfect weekend getaway from NYCbecause it’s only a 2 hour and 15-minute drive from the city. And while you can take a few routes, it’s a pretty straight drive on I-87 N.
