Bath Academy of Art | Artist Biographies. Lord Methuen - the artist Paul Ayshford - established the Academy at his home, Corsham Court, Wiltshire, in 1946 when he was President of the RWA. Additional annexes in Bath, and at Beechfield, incorporated a residential college for art teachers and Bath School of Art that had been in existence since 1852.

Biografia. Si avvicinò all'arte studiando alla Slade School di Londra dal 1937 al 1939 . Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale iniziò la carriera di docente, insegnando alla Bath Academy of Art. Nel 1952 alla Galleria Gimpel Fils di Londra e due anni dopo a New York, tenne le sue prime mostre personali.
