Enigma fu un dispositivo elettromeccanico per cifrare e decifrare messaggi. Macchina nata da un tentativo di commercializzazione poi fallito, fu ampiamente utilizzata dalle forze armate tedesche durante il periodo nazista e della seconda guerra mondiale.
