Leben. Eric McLuhan wurde 1942 als Sohn des Philosophen und Kommunikationstheoretikers Marshall McLuhan und dessen Frau Corinne Lewis geboren. Er hatte fünf Geschwister: die Zwillinge Mary und Theresa, Stephanie, Elizabeth und Michael. 1972 wurde ihm der B.Sc. in Kommunikationswissenschaften an der Wisconsin State University verliehen.
Herbert Marshall McLuhan CC (July 21, 1911 – December 31, 1980) was a Canadian philosopher whose work is among the cornerstones of the study of media theory. He studied at the University of Manitoba and the University of Cambridge.
