Hélène Rytmann (15 October 1910 – 16 November 1980) was a French revolutionary and sociologist. She was active as a Communist militant in the French resistance to Nazism. A member of the French Communist Party, she was expelled after accusations of Trotskyism and having participated in summary executions of former Nazi collaborators.
Hélène Rytmann (født 15. oktober 1910; død 16. november 1980) var en fransk sociolog og modstandskæmper under 2. verdenskrig. Blandt andet sammen med franskmanden Jean Beaufret. Under krigen var hendes dæknavn "Legotien". Hun deltog blandt andet i mord på kollaboratører i Lyon, der samarbejdede med Nazityskland.
In 1946, Althusser met sociologist Hélène Rytmann, a Jewish former French Resistance member with whom he was in a relationship until he killed her by strangulation in 1980. That same year, he started a close friendly relationship with Jacques Martin, a translator of G. W. F. Hegel and Herman Hesse .
