History. The band's founding members Jason Hill (singer), Brian Karscig, Robbie Dodds, and Mark Maigaard were childhood friends, growing up in Poway, CA. They initially started a band called Dishwater. Convoy's first song, “Weekends”, was written on a beach in Hawaii by Dodds and Hill, while touring with Dishwater.
