La Upsetter Records è un' etichetta discografica giamaicana, fondata dal musicista e produttore Lee "Scratch" Perry nel 1968 . Contemporaneamente alla fondazione dell'etichetta Perry aprì un negozio di dischi, l' Upsetter Record Shop, dove inizialmente vendeva i dischi da lui prodotti.

History. The Upsetters were originally Gladdy's All-Stars, led by pianist Gladstone Anderson, and it was they who originally recorded the international hits "Live Injection" and "Return of Django". The double A-side release of "Return of Django" / "Dollar in the Teeth", peaked at No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart in November 1969. [1]
Upsetter Records was a Los Angeles, California-based record label founded in 1978 by Chris D. and his then-girlfriend, the animation and graphic artist Judith Bell.

Dating to as late as 2004, this album has also become known as "Upsetter Revolution Rhythm," because of a CD by that name released in 2004 (HIP-O RECORDS / Universal Music / JAD cat#B0003300-02) which was a reissue of the original instrumental album, with the addition of one bonus track: "Kaya version alternate mix".
