Dame Margaret Rutherford è stata un'attrice britannica. Vinse il premio Oscar alla miglior attrice non protagonista nel 1964 per International Hotel. È nota soprattutto per aver interpretato sullo schermo Miss Marple, il personaggio nato dalla penna di Agatha Christie.
In the early 1960s, she starred as Agatha Christie's character Miss Marple in a series of four George Pollock films. Despite Rutherford's appearances in more than 40 films, it is as Madame Arcati and Miss Jane Marple that she will best be remembered.
