11 feb 2016 · Crown lawyer Michael Callaghan told court on Tuesday that a statement Dunsworth made to police would corroborate DeCoutere's allegations that Ghomeshi choked her and repeatedly slapped her while they were kissing in his bedroom in the summer of 2003.
Due to a snowstorm, the witness, actress Sarah E. Dunsworth, did not testify and instead a transcript of her statement to police and messages exchanged between her and DeCoutere were provided. On the last day of the trial, the Crown and defence team made their closing arguments to the judge.
