The College is a Catholic Minority College, administered under the provisions of the Indian Constitution, to promote the welfare of the Minority community. As per the Judgement dated 12th October 2017 of the Honourable Bombay High Court vide Writ Petition No. 1726 of 2001, Minority Colleges do not need to set aside seats for Backward Classes.
The candidates aspiring to take admissions to St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata are hereby notified that St. Xavier's College will accept all types of fees and charges (including Application, Admission etc.) in CASHLESS mode only.
Admissions are based purely on the candidate’s performance in the 10 + 2 or equivalent examination and satisfying the guidelines of respective councils. The admission procedure, application form and fees are different from domestic students applying for admissions.
