In 1964, the federal government began to investigate Synanon, a California-based corporation that claimed to be able to do the unimaginable, and cure drug addiction.
Chronicles the ongoings at Synanon House, a rehabilitation center for people with all kinds of addictions. Chuck Dederich, a recovering alcoholic, founded and runs Synanon House. When Chuck turned to the junkies for a more lucrative operation his career as a savior began.
