James Douglas Morrison, detto Jim ( Melbourne, 8 dicembre 1943 – Parigi, 3 luglio 1971 ), è stato un cantautore e poeta statunitense . Fu il leader carismatico e frontman della band statunitense The Doors, dal 1965 al 1971 .
Jim Morrison è, con il chitarrista Jimi Hendrix e la cantante Janis Joplin, uno dei tre rocker caduti nella cosiddetta "maledizione della J", caratterizzata dalla morte per tutti e tre i musicisti all'età di 27 anni e in circostanze mai del tutto chiare.
