Manfred Weber (born 14 July 1972) is a German politician who has served as President of the European People's Party (EPP) since 2022 and as Leader of the EPP Group in the European Parliament since 2014. He has been a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Germany since 2004.
Manfred Weber started testing the political waters at the early age of 16, becoming a member of the Junge Union and the Christian Social Union (CSU) in 1989. From 2003 to 2007, he led the Junge Union Bavaria as Regional Chairman.

19 giu 2024 · This morning, Manfred WEBER MEP (Germany, CSU - Christlich Soziale Union) was re-elected Chairman of the EPP Group in the European Parliament by an overwhelming majority. Re-elected for the 4th time, he has presided over the largest political Group in European Parliament since 2014.
31 mag 2022 · The European People's Party Congress has elected Manfred Weber as EPP President with 447 votes out of 502. He succeeds Donald Tusk. There will be a closing press conference with the newly elected EPP President tomorrow, 1 June, at the Ahoy Rotterdam.
