Atlantic Recording Corporation (simply known as Atlantic Records) is an American record label founded in October 1947 by Ahmet Ertegun and Herb Abramson.
In 2020, Atlantic Records announced the relaunching of its original subsidiary label Atco Records, under the authority of its A&R President Pete Ganbarg. This reactivation of Atco Records marks the first time in over 25 years that the label has actively operated under the Atlantic Records umbrella.
Fra le più celebri si può ricordare la Atco Records (creata nel 1955 da Herb Abramson). La Spark Records (per cui incidevano Jerry Leiber e Mike Stoller ) fu acquisita nel novembre del 1955 . Altre etichette che fanno capo alla Atlantic sono Lava Records e 143 Records .
