Anna von Schweidnitz ( tschechisch Anna Svídnická, polnisch Anna świdnicka; * 1339; † 11. Juli 1362 in Prag) war durch Geburt Prinzessin von Schweidnitz-Jauer. Durch ihre Heirat mit Karl IV. wurde sie Königin von Böhmen, römisch-deutsche Königin und Kaiserin des Heiligen Römischen Reichs.
Wenceslaus was born in the Imperial city of Nuremberg, the son of Emperor Charles IV by his third wife Anna von Schweidnitz, a scion of the Silesian Piasts, and baptized at St. Sebaldus Church. He was raised by the Prague Archbishops Arnošt of Pardubice and Jan Očko of Vlašim.
He also gained a considerable portion of Silesian territory, partly by inheritance through his third wife, Anna von Schweidnitz, daughter of Henry II, Duke of Świdnica and Catherine of Hungary. In 1365, Charles visited Pope Urban V at Avignon and undertook to escort him to Rome; on the same occasion he was crowned King of Burgundy ...
