Issoudun Écouter est une commune française, sous-préfecture du département de l'Indre, en région Centre-Val de Loire. Avec plus de 11 000 habitants, la ville est située dans l'est du département, à la limite avec le département du Cher. Elle se trouve dans la région naturelle de la Champagne berrichonne.

Le département d'Indre-et-Loire se situe à l'extrémité sud du Bassin parisien. Il est traversé d'est en ouest par la Loire qui sépare le département en deux parties avec au nord la Gâtine et au sud la Champeigne. C'est dans ce département que le Cher, l'Indre et la Vienne se jettent dans la Loire.
