She was a daughter of Duke Magnus II of Brunswick-Lüneburg (died 1373) and Catharine of Anhalt-Bernburg (died 1390).

It is not know when she was born but about 1246 is possible. She was a Canoness in Quedlinburg in 1263, and then married about 1263-1265, Wizlaw II, Furst von Rügen. They had 8 children;
