Simon IV, Lord of Lippe (c. 1404 – 11 August 1429) was the ruling Lord of Lippe from 1415 until his death. Life. He was born around 1404 as the eldest son of Bernard VI, Lord of Lippe and his second wife, Elisabeth of Moers. Bernard VI died in 1415 and Simon IV inherited Lippe.

Simon V was the first ruler of Lippe to style himself as a count in 1528. Following the death of Simon VI in 1613, the county was partitioned between his three sons; Lippe-Detmold went to Simon VII, Lippe-Brake to Otto and Lippe-Alverdissen went to Philip I. The County of Lippe-Brake was reunited with the main Detmold line in 1709.

Simon I, Lord of Lippe (c. 1261 – 10 August 1344) ruled Lippe from 1275 until his death in 1344. Life. He was a son of Bernard IV and Agnes of Cleves. He was a great-nephew of Simon I, a bishop of Paderborn.
