Il condominio delle Nuove Ebridi (in inglese New Hebrides Condominium; in francese Condominium des Nouvelles-Hébrides) fu il nome ufficiale del protettorato franco-britannico di un arcipelago sud Pacifico dal 1980 noto come lo Stato indipendente di Vanuatu.
The New Hebrides, now renamed Vanuatu, achieved independence as planned on 30 July 1980 under Prime Minister Walter Lini, with a ceremonial President replacing the Resident Commissioners.

In 1774, Captain Cook named the islands the New Hebrides, a name that lasted until independence. In 1825, trader Peter Dillon 's discovery of sandalwood on the island of Erromango began a rush that ended in 1830 after a clash between immigrant Polynesian workers and indigenous Melanesians.

The name Vanuatu means “Our Land Forever” in many of the locally used Melanesian languages. The capital, largest city, and commercial centre is Port-Vila (Vila), on Éfaté.
