Holker Hall (pronounced Hooker by some) is a privately owned country house located about 2 km to the southwest of the village of Cartmel in the ceremonial county of Cumbria and historic county of Lancashire, England.

The Hall is enchanting all year round with an abundance of homegrown fresh flowers in Summer and crackling open fires throughout the colder months. Holker’s Gardens, both Formal and Woodland, celebrate every season with a collection of national treasures cultivated over the centuries.
Holker Hall & Gardens, Cafe, Food Hall & Gift Shop are open from Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays. The gates open at 10.30am and close again at 5pm for the Gardens, Café, Food Hall and Gift Shop.
Holker Hall, never sold throughout its 400 year history, is the family home of Lord and Lady Cavendish. It is a delightful family home with fine displays of antique furniture and art, and both the Hall and the gardens are open to the public. Holker Hall is the finest house in South Lakeland.
Holker Hall & Gardens is the much-loved home of the Cavendish family, and has been in the family since it was built in the early 1600’s. The new wing was re-built in the 1870’s following a fire, and is now open to visitors.
