Woburn Abbey (/ ˈ w oʊ b ər n /), occupying the east of the village of Woburn, Bedfordshire, England, is a country house, the family seat of the Duke of Bedford.
The Estate. Woburn Abbey and Gardens. Woburn Abbey has been undergoing extensive renovation since 2019. What started as a project to rebuild the Screen Walls to the East of the Abbey and to refurbish the visitor route, including adding a DDA passenger lift, has expanded to tackle underlying structural issues which have been found in the building.

History. Not Free. Set in a beautiful 3,000 acre deer park, with 10 species of deer roaming free, Woburn Abbey has been the home of the Dukes of Bedford for nearly 400 years. Today it is occupied by the 15th Duke and his family. Woburn was set out and founded as a Cistercian abbey in 1145.
