Mirza Papuna Davitaia. Painting, graphics, movie producing . Biography . A founder and president of Georgian International Films, was born in August 30st 1975 in Tbilisi, Georgia (USSR). After his art education in Germany Mirza Davitaia returned in his native Georgia and served his country as a Deputy Minister of Culture from 2004 to 2008.
The founding president of GI-Films, Mirza Davitaia is a filmmaker who has written, directed, and produced both animated and live-action movies since1993. In 2016, Mirza created the graphic novel “The Knight in the Tiger’s Skin” (AKA Prince of India).
Also credited as producer are director Renny Harlin, George Lascu and Mirza Davitaia, who served as Georgian State Minister for "diaspora issues" from 2009 to 2012, who at the time of filming was the Georgian Deputy Minister, Ministry of Culture, Monument Protection and Sports.
