St Martin's Cathedral (Slovak: Katedrála svätého Martina or Dóm svätého Martina, Hungarian: Szent Márton-dóm or Koronázó templom, German: Kathedrale des Heiligen Martin) is a church in Bratislava, Slovakia, and the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Bratislava.
It has four chapels: the canons’ chapel; the Gothic chapel of Sophia of Bavaria, widow of the Czech King Wenceslas IV; the chapel of St Anne; and the baroque chapel of St John the Merciful. The portal of the southern antechamber represents the oldest example of Renaissance architecture in Slovakia.
St. Martin's cathedral is one of the most significant symbols of Bratislava. It was built in the 12th century and almost immediately became the center of an everyday life. Originally a Roman architecture has been converted in the Gothic style in the 13th century and remained till today.
