The Monastery of Proussos or Panagia Proussiotissa is located 30 km from Karpenisi and is one of the largest pilgrimages in Central Greece.
Prousos. The picturesque village that has associated its name with the Monastery of Prousos, although it lives in the shadow of the monastery, has to show other graces. It is located in the southwestern part of Evritania between Mount Panaitoliko and the rivers Krikellopotamos and Trikerioti.
