Cuéllar (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈkweʎaɾ]) is a municipality in the Province of Segovia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. The municipality had a population of 9,730 inhabitants according to the municipal register of inhabitants (INE) as of 1 January 2010, divided into 4,929 men and 4,801 women.

Castle of Cuellar. The Castle was declared next to the walls, National Artistic Monument in 1931. It appears documented already in the year 1306, although the oldest part is from the XII century. In 1464, when Enrique IV was king, he gave the town of Cuéllar and the castle to D. Beltrán de la Cueva, Duke of Alburquerque.
Cuéllar is a town that lies to the north of Segovia province. Its walls, castle and San Martín church were declared to be National Historical and Artistic Monuments as far back as 1931. The Dukes of Alburquerque 15th and 16th century castle is situated in the highest part of the town.
