Self-produced, 2020's "Trouble and Strife" marked Joan Osborne's first album of original material since 2014's "Love and Hate." Frankly I didn't have high hopes for the album. It's not that I don't like Joan Osborne, rather I just didn't know what to expect. I'd heard snippets of her Dylan covers album and it didn't do much for me.
