27 mar 2024 · s.p.y Originally from Sao Paolo but on the London drum and bass scene for the last eleven years, S.P.Y has just dropped his epic two-part Back to Basics LP. Released within six months of each other, Chapter One and Two feature collaborations with Total Science, Rene La Vice and vocal tracks from the likes of Diane Charlemagne, Grimm and DRS MC.
After moving to London from São Paulo, S.P.Y was quick to establish himself within the UK Drum & Bass scene. Over a decade later, S.P.Y is now a globe-trotting dj and multi-award winning producer, with 3 albums on Hospital Records, and several high profile remixes under his belt.
Moving into 2014, S.P.Y took us ‘Back to Basics’ with his second LP. In true S.P.Y style an abundance of outstanding tracks meant the LP was released in two parts. “Chapters 1 + 2” draws inspiration from the deeper, darker sounds of drum & bass and features collaborations with Total Science, Rene La Vice, and vocalists Diane Charlemagne, Grimm and DRS MC.
