The history of Holland Park School began in the late 1950s with a campaign against the building of the school championed by John Betjeman. Protests notwithstanding it opened in 1958 as one of London’s very first comprehensive schools.

Holland Park park si trova nei pressi dell'hotel in cui abbiamo alloggiato, quindi abbiamo pensato (a dire il vero senza aspettarci troppo) che potesse valere la pena farci un giro, data la distanza. In realtà, forse non è famosissimo, ma è indubbiamente bellissimo parco cittadino, che comunque non sfigura messo a confronto con gli altri ben più conosciuti parchi Londinesi.
Holland Park is significantly over-subscribed in each year group. The school generally receives in excess of 1800 applications for its 240 places in Year 7 each year.
