Carl Maria von Weber nacque a Eutin (Oldemburgo) nel 1786. Figlio del direttore d'orchestra e impresario Franz Anton e della cantante e attrice Genovefa, passò gran parte dell’infanzia viaggiando da una città all'altra nella regione bavarese al seguito del gruppo teatrale paterno, che si esibiva nelle commedie popolari e nel Singspiel.
Carl Maria Friedrich Ernest von Weber, född 18 november 1786 i Eutin, död 5 juni 1826 i London, var en tysk klassisk kompositör, far till ingenjören Max Maria von Weber. Asteroiden 4152 Weber är uppkallad efter honom.
Carl Maria von Weber se narodil v Eutinu, v tehdejším Knížecím biskupství Lübeck. Přesné datum jeho narození není známo, ale 20. listopadu 1786 byl v místním kostele pokřtěn . Jeho otec Franz Anton byl dvorním kapelníkem u knížete biskupa z Lübecku , ale po zrušení orchestru z úsporných důvodů v roce 1781 se stal vedoucím městského orchestru v Eutinu.

VI. 1826).Izdanak glazbene obitelji (→ weber), zarana je dobio poduku od oca i (polu)braće (koji su ga željeli obrazovati kao čudo od djeteta po uzoru na W. A. Mozarta), a potom od M. Haydna i Johanna Nepomuka Kalchera.
Weber's mature operas— Silvana (1810), Abu Hassan (1811), Der Freischütz (1821), Die drei Pintos ( comp. 1820–21), Euryanthe (1823), Oberon (1826)—all survive intact; they were all performed within his lifetime, except Die drei Pintos which was posthumously completed by Gustav Mahler.
