More than just devoid of intrigue, the film has no interest in being interesting. The script, the shooting, the performances all feel extruded out of an assembly line; flat, dead, inert. Everyone is antagonistic to scientist Bruce Bennett just for funsies, he never actually does anything. Ken the disabled child is a nice touch.
