23 mag 2019 · The Resident Evil and Silent Hill film franchise certainly have their moments, but they have a serious issue when it comes to maintaining any integrity to their lore and their personality. Meanwhile, films like Doom and House of the Dead are no more than a tensionless barrage of bullets; littering the ground with noisy but empty promises.

During the 1955 arms race, a secret experiment aids the Allied Forces, but it opens a Pandora’s box of horrors that the military cannot control.
Knowing how hard it is to get any film made, I’d like it to do well, and kudos to the DOP as it’s well lit. I’d also like to see more from director Matt Mitchell and the team behind it, but don’t be too surprised if you’re checking your watch after ten minutes. 4/10
20 mag 2021 · The Rizen was the third film from British director Matt Mitchell. Mitchell had previously made Gangsters, Guns and Zombies (2012) and It Never Sleeps (2014), all on low budgets.
10 dic 2020 · Instead of making an out and out sequel to his smaller budget zombie WWII film THE RIZEN, he’s made an entirely different movie set in the same universe. While I doubt many saw the original THE RIZEN, I found it to be a fun, yet typical zombie movie that took advantage of its setting well and made for an exciting, though predictable first person shooter style horror story.
