2.2 is pretty harsh there Letterboxd. The movie has issues sure, especially that pathetic ending. But you’ve got Micheal Rooker and family going up against a 50’s b-movie fish monster while trapped on a barren frozen lake. And there’s some good gore sprinkled throughout too!
21 ott 2021 · Hypothermia happens to also have been McKenney’s last film to date. James Felix McKenney makes a minimalist horror film. A cast of six, the locale centred around 100 or so square feet of a frozen-over lake, a monster that is seen more by its shadowy presence than any actual appearance. All solid possibilities for a horror film.
Hypothermia ist eine zweischneidige Angelegenheit. Zu gefallen weiß der Film durch eine phantastische Kameraarbeit, die die trostlose Kälte bestens einfängt und durch einen zurückhaltenden, aber eindringlichen Score akzentuiert wird. Interessant ist er auch, weil er die Figuren trotz geringer Möglichkeiten differenziert gestaltet.

Normal body temperature is considered 98.6 degrees. Hypothermia is considered anything below 95 degrees. Left untreated, hypothermia can become a medical emergency.
