Avant de passer à ma critique, qui, je vous l’assure, est très enthousiaste, je vous propose un petit rappel des enjeux du film. Une jeune réfugiée syrienne nommée Lamya fuit la violence de la Syrie. Alors qu’elle se dirige vers l’Europe, elle est aidée dans son voyage par un livre de poèmes.

It follows a 12-year-old refugee Layma (Millie Davis) who finds a magic book of poetry while fleeing her home in Syria. The book becomes a gateway, connecting her with Rumi at the time in his life when he was also a young refugee running away from Mongol hordes.

LAMYA'S POEM tells the story of a 12-year-old Syrian girl named Lamya who's fleeing the violence in her country with her mother. Throughout the film, Lamya tumbles into a dreamworld where she meets a young poet named Rumi (voiced by Mena Massoud ) from the 13th century who's also escaping violence in Syria.
