But its vibe is the only thing Poolman has, and it relies way too much on that. Chris Pine si tu po vzoru Tarrantina natočil film sám pro sebe, akorát s tím rozdílem že k tomu žádného diváka pozvat nechtěl, ale musel. Poolman není špatný film, jen to celé působí dojmem že Pine si tu natočil film pro radost, naházel si do něj kupu odkazů (kde některé pochopí jen on sám) a na diváka kompletně kašlal.
17 ott 2023 · Poolman is a delightfully daffy film noir-Chinatown by way of Dumb & Dumber. It has had mystifyingly unkind vicious reviews and I have no idea why as it’s an absolute delight. Perhaps festival fatigue worked against it but honestly Poolman is huge, warm-hearted silly fun which crucially doesn’t take itself remotely seriously.
