Frances Cross, born about 1649, was daughter of merchant Josias Cross of St Swithin's, London and his wife, Frances. She married William Twysden by license granted on 8 June 1665 when she was 16 and William 27. She bore him 9 sons, 3 of whom died in William's lifetime, and 6 daughters.
