The movie follows the adventures of Shrek and his friends as they participate in a singing competition called Far Far Away Idol. The film has gained a lot of popularity over the years, and fans have been eagerly discussing its ending.
Simon Cowell appears as himself on Far Far Away Idol, a parody of American Idol, on the DVD special features and just before the credits on the U.S. VHS edition (see Home Media). Production In 2001, soon after the original Shrek proved to be a hit, Mike Myers , Eddie Murphy , and Cameron Diaz negotiated an upfront payment of $10 million each for voicing a sequel to the film.
